We’re pleased to see our investments taking shape as Heaven Hill Brands continues to support and enhance the California neighborhood. As part of our commitment under the Spirited Neighbor Initiative, we are excited to announce that the sewer system improvements funded by our $250,000 grant to Louisville MSD (Metropolitan Sewer District) are beginning to come operational. Some catch basins in the neighborhood have been replaced, and more are scheduled for the California neighborhood in the months to come.
Residents of the California neighborhood may notice MSD crews working in the area as they begin the process of replacing outdated catch basins with new, trapped versions. Replacing catch basins with updated equipment helps better contain the odor that results naturally as wastewater decomposes.
MSD has been actively working to address these concerns across Louisville, investing $16.5 million in West Louisville alone to rehabilitate the sewer line under Maple Street and replace catch basins. Our grant, focused exclusively on the California neighborhood, will allow MSD to replace even more catch basins in the California neighborhood, furthering these essential improvements.
At Heaven Hill, we believe in being a spirited neighbor. Our investments and initiatives are not just about our growth but also about contributing to the well-being of the communities we call home. The grant to Louisville MSD is a testament to our dedication to making a positive impact, addressing pressing concerns, and supporting long-term improvements.
Stay tuned for more updates on our ongoing efforts to support and uplift our community. Together, we are building a better future for all residents of the California neighborhood.
